Plant Expansion: EAS's High Point Manufacturing Plant is expanding another 15,000 square feet adding 50 new jobs. This expansion will handle the ever-increasing demand for the EAS Quality Custom Air Handling Units.
High Point Plant Earns OSHA SHARP Award.SHARP stands for the OSHA Safety & Health Awareness & Recognition Program. To earn this award and the right to fly the flag, you must meet or exceed all 16 OSHA compliance laws as it relates to manufacturing, your local environment, and your employees. A creditable safety program must also be in place that can be validated.
Recognition: Chris Coble is awarded AWS's Image of Welding AwardThe American Welding Society (AWS) and the Welding Equipment Manufacturers Committee awarded EAS's Chris Coble as the individual recipient of the 2006 Fourth Annual Image of Welding Award.
Chris Coble, a North Carolina State University graduate, is Managing Director for the Welding Program at EAS. He has modernized EAS's welding program by creating an automated identification and tracking system, which has streamlined the company's ability to share important data and gain access to information on pertinent welding procedures, qualifications and techniques. Coble is also creating EAS's educational program that will allow employees to train on-site and earn certifications in various welding procedures. Ronald Gardner, Mechanical Pipe Superintendent at EAS said, "EAS has committed to a progressive welding program and the continued education of its employees."
